Treatwell Alternative Without Commission: Convelly vs Treatwell

October 26, 2026 · 8 min read

Convelly gives your business something Treatwell's plans do not list: a second brain, Elly, that remembers every client and answers, sells and books in the chat, on every plan including Free, with no commission on any booking. Treatwell is a beauty marketplace with salon software from €39 a month, plus commission on a new client's first marketplace booking. This guide is part of our Convelly comparisons.

What Treatwell's price page says

These figures come from Treatwell's own partner price page and its FAQ, checked on 2026-10-27:

  • Starter costs €39 a month; Advanced costs €49 plus a €7.50 TSE fee and adds a till. Treatwell states all fees and commissions plus VAT.
  • Treatwell charges commission on a new client's first marketplace booking: its plan cards say the rate varies by location, and its FAQ names 35%.
  • Repeat marketplace bookings, and bookings through Treatwell's button on your own website or social media, carry no commission.
  • Treatwell adds 2% plus VAT to every booking paid online in advance.
  • Plans include unlimited team members and email reminders; the page lists no free plan, no AI that answers clients and no WhatsApp.

Five reasons businesses that book by chat choose Convelly

Elly remembers every client and answers on every plan

Treatwell's price page lists no AI that answers your clients. In Convelly, Elly is on every plan, Free included, and writes as your business. Before each reply it reads the client's conversations, bookings, payments and your team's notes, then answers with your real services, prices and free times, at any hour: a dog groomer's client asking about Saturday at eleven at night gets a real time. Bookings and deposits, with no commission

Elly books, moves and cancels in the chat against your live calendar, holds the slot and sends the payment link when a service needs a deposit. Your booking page carries your branding, not a marketplace's. Convelly takes no commission on any booking, and deposits land in your own Stripe account. Reducing no-shows with deposits shows how to set them per service.

Reminders on WhatsApp, where clients read them

Treatwell lists email reminders. Convelly sends them on WhatsApp and by email, each with links to move or cancel. When a physiotherapy patient replies "running ten minutes late", the message lands in your inbox, where Elly or your team acts on it. The WhatsApp reminders page shows the timing options.

Your own channels bring clients to you

A marketplace shows you next to the studio down the street. Convelly works on the channels you own: Elly answers in a website chat, added with one line of code on every plan, and on WhatsApp, Instagram, Telegram and email, in one shared inbox. A tattoo studio keeps every Instagram enquiry on one record per client, and the client list is yours to export. See the website chat.

Elly runs the workspace when you ask

The same Elly works for your team inside the app. A massage practice owner asks for a new 60-minute sports massage with a deposit, and Elly prepares it; every change runs only after approval. Pipelines, campaigns and video calls are built in, so a personal trainer can follow up trial sessions and coach online without a second tool. More on the Elly AI assistant.

What a three-person team pays on each

Take a nail studio with three people. On Treatwell, Starter costs €39 a month for the whole team. Say the marketplace sends five new clients a month, each booking a €50 treatment. At the 35% in Treatwell's FAQ, Treatwell keeps €87.50 plus VAT on those first visits, so the month comes to €126.50 plus VAT, or €1,518 a year. Regulars carry no commission.

On Convelly, Growth covers 3 users for €99 a month, or €82 billed yearly, with Elly, WhatsApp reminders, campaigns and the website chat included. With no commission, the month costs the same with five new clients or fifty. Treatwell's fixed fee is the lower of the two; what differs is what you pay for: a client the marketplace found, or every client who writes to you answered and booked. Every figure is on the pricing page; Meta's own WhatsApp template fees apply with any provider.

Where Treatwell goes further

Treatwell is a marketplace first. Its partner site says half a million people search for appointments on Treatwell every day, and lists sites in 13 European countries. Clients book hair, nail, massage and beauty treatments on its website and consumer app, and its homepage offers gift vouchers, points and last-minute deals. Its plans include unlimited team members and review management; Advanced adds a till with TSE. Convelly is not a marketplace and has no consumer app, no till and no gift vouchers. If your diary is empty and you offer beauty treatments in a big city, Treatwell's reach is worth its commission; if your clients already write to you, Convelly answers, remembers and books them.

Switching from Treatwell to Convelly

Treatwell's monthly plans can be cancelled monthly; on a yearly contract, plan for its end date. Set Convelly up on the free plan first: it takes about fifteen minutes, and Elly writes its own instructions from your website. Import your clients from a spreadsheet and put your booking link on your website and Instagram bio. Convelly does not sync with Treatwell's calendar, so keeping a marketplace listing means two calendars. Choosing your business number and the first 30 days after the switch cover the rest.

Frequently asked questions

Is there a Convelly free plan?

Yes. Convelly Free costs €0, has no end date and includes 500 contacts, one channel, the website chat and Elly with 200 AI credits to start. Starter, at €39 a month, refills 3,000 credits monthly. Treatwell lists no free plan; its plans start at €39 a month.

Does Convelly take commission on bookings?

No. Convelly never takes a commission or a fee per booking, for new clients or regulars. You pay your plan, and deposits go to your own Stripe account, so the only payment fees are Stripe's. Treatwell's commission and prepayment fee are in the table above.

Can I bring my clients over from Treatwell?

Yes. Import them from a spreadsheet: match the columns, preview and go, with duplicates caught by phone and email. Treatwell states that your data remains yours; before you switch, ask its support how to get your client list as a file.

Is Convelly only for salons?

No. Convelly is for small and medium-sized businesses of every kind that take bookings over chat: a physiotherapist, a tattoo studio, a dog groomer, a personal trainer or a nail studio. Elly learns your business from your website and books whatever you offer by appointment; the calendar also runs group classes and video calls.

Will Convelly bring me new clients like the Treatwell marketplace?

No. Convelly is not a marketplace. It works with the clients who already find you, through your website, Instagram, ads or word of mouth, and makes sure each message gets an answer and a booking, at any hour.
